 It all started with a seashell that I collected on the beaches of North Carolina. Over the summer I learned how to incorporate epoxy into my projects. At that time I began mixing this beautiful pearly white epoxy and painting pinecones with it. This seashell sat on my workbench and so I poured some of the epoxy in the bottom. For many months that seashell sat there waiting for its purpose. I thought to myself this would make a gorgeous icy pond and so I filled it in with clear epoxy. The pinecone halves started to pile up with thier shimmering white epoxy glistening in the sunbeams coming through the window. In October I started to put things together and created bases out of a neat coaster epoxy mold. Day by day and week by week these beautiful outdoor scenes and giant pinecone christmas trees came together. New ideas emerged every time I circled back to these. North Carolina sea quartz adorn the border of the seashell icy pond. The base is a bottom half of a large southern pinecone. Layers of epoxy ensure the longevity and ease of storage when the holiday season comes to an end. The results are beautiful and the beginning of a yearly holiday decor collection.
