The Adirondack map is a vintage map made before 1929, featuring distinctive elements that were all personally collected from upstate New York's natural environment. All of these subtle elements, deriving from the Catskill Mountains to the border between New York and Canada, were formerly in symbiotic interaction with the earth. The moss and birch trees are interspersed with small features such as pinecones, acorns, antler fragments, and more. Preserving nature alongside an antique Adirondack map in an exclusive form of original workings of wall art. A map expert showed me that it was prior to 1929 because there was a road not yet put on the map between Raquette Lake and Blue Mountain Lake. He also educated me on the location of the Post Office in the one zoomed in photo and that this moved after 1940 something. I thought these details were really interesting. The dimensions of this unique wall art are 22 inches in width and 25 inches in height.
